Style Inspiration
Intrigue is defined by its sophisticated transformation of traditional design elements into a soft transitional collection, highlighted by bronzed metal, textured linen, supple leather and sleek stone. Sweeping shapes, dramatic veneers, exquisite details like maple inlay and hand-applied nail head trim, and a signature marquise (pointed oval) shaped motif communicate fresh attitude and create an up-to-the minute appeal.
Crisp, uncluttered lines combine with traditional touches to reveal a look with order, function and versatility for today.

Wood and Finish
Intrigue is crafted with radiatta solids and richly grained grey elm veneers, artistically placed in sunburst and "V" matched patterns. The tops of cases and dining tables are bordered by a softly contrasting maple stringer inlay.  
The warm "Cola" finish showcases the rich grain character of the elm veneer.

Key Elements

• Translated into many different creative design elements, the signature marquise shape repeats and undulates as it travels throughout the collection ¨C whether represented as metal fretwork on door fronts and table bases, or carved into chair splat backs and mirror frames¨C each providing a cohesive presentation from room to room.
• The curves of the marquise motif are continued on the shelter bed, demilune buffet, harlequin double-curve shaped stretchers  promoting a sense of flow and movement.
• Custom designed hardware includes round knobs in two sizes and horizontal bar pulls, all featuring a petite version of the marquise shape in aged bronze metal overlaying the top of the knob and the two ends of the bar pull.
• Soft contours are combined with the natural elm wood grain for a simple, unadorned elegance.
• Starburst and "V" matched elm in the fields are complemented with short  grain elm veneer borders and maple inlay  conveying artistic interest and incomparable style.
• Mixed media treatments counter play with the traditional styling -- adding exciting textures, patinas and gleaming surfaces throughout the collection. Aged bronze metal, natural linen applied as a backdrop on selected items, rich leather and smooth limestone are integrated into the pieces, creating an inspiring impression of elegance and originality.
• The use of metal, stone and textural linen fabric blend seamlessly with the character of elm veneer, maple inlay and the custom bronze polished hardware.
• The graduated drawer sizes, velvet jewelry and silver inserts, sophisticated wire management and power bars, cedar lined bottom drawers, English dovetail joints and full extension metal drawer guides all represent A.R.T. high quality standards .
• Each drawer is finished inside with a unique high quality UV coating to ensure the smoothest and most durable surface to protect the finest of fabrics.
